    2013 Honda Accord gets new engines, transmissions built in Ohio

    RUSSELLS POINT, Ohio -- Following more than $220 million in investments in two Ohio plants over the past two years, Honda on Thursday began mass production of new engines and transmissions for its upcoming 2013 Accord sedan.

    Production of the new Accord starts Monday at Honda's Marysville plant. To get ready, the company's engine plant in Anna started working on four and six-cylinder engines this week and in Russells Point, production of a new, high-tech transmission began Thursday.

    NEW DELHI: Japan's HondaMotors Company on Monday launched its fourth-generation City sedanin Delhi as part of a plan to win a bigger share of the country's car market. The diesel and petrol variants of the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder new City will be available in India from January, the company said, without revealing their prices. The new bil is expected to be priced competitively as it uses more locally manufactured parts compared with the model it will replace.
