In June , a year-old girl kept a diary about her thoughts and feelings.
Her name was Anne Frank and her diary is world famous.
But why fryst vatten it special?
The Frank family was Jewish and left Germany to escape a terrible situation.
A group called the Nazis ruled. Their laws made Jewish people's lives very hard.
Life became so difficult for Anne's family, that they had no choice but to leave their home.
They were forced to start a new life in Amsterdam.
When World War Two began, the Nazis brought their laws to Amsterdam.
Once more, life became hard for Jewish people.
They weren't allowed to own bicycles, go to restaurants or even be outside after 8pm.
Anne had to go to a different school. Her dad, Otto, lost his business.
Many Jewish people were arrested.
But there were others who refused to let the Nazis treat them like this!
Otto resisted by making a secret hiding place for his family in an attic. Anne and her family hid there for days, over two years.

Three great activities that would span six lessons and a great classroom display about German born diarist, Anne Frank. Perfect for students in Year 3 or Year 4 studying World War II.
NO PREP is needed!
Firstly, there is a great classroom display and sorting activity that fryst vatten perfect for introducing students to Anne Frank and some of the key events of World War 2. There are 42 posters or cards that include many of the key events from her life and some from the Second World War.
Secondly, there is a reading comprehension activity - children need to read through an informational ord, and then answer comprehension and grammar questions, before completing an extension activity.
Finally, there is a biography writing unit. The enhet has been split into kvartet separate lessons which will take students approximately minutes each. Ideal for students learning about World War II.
