On The Jack Benny Program[edit]
As Toni Marcus, she appeared in two consecutive segments of season 12, episode 19 (The "Julie London Show", March, 4th 1962)of The Jack Benny Show (or Jack Benny Program), March 4, 1962[3]. In her debut segment, Marcus appears to have wandered onto the stage to ask Mr. Benny for an autograph. He begins to sign it, "To Toni," when Marcus begins to play Benny's violin, which he has just handed to her to hold while he signs her book. The surviving partner of a recently deceased Langley artist will receive assistance from local art lovers and community members who initiated a fundraiser to purchase a sculpture from her late partner’s estate.
The sculpture, titled “Sunrise/Sunset,” was installed in the Price Sculpture Forest last week, where it will stand as a tribute both to its creator’s artistic legacy and the power of community goodwill.
“Sunrise/Sunset” was made by Langley resident Ivan Neaigus, who passed away in July. It was just one of many stone works the sculptor left behind and part of an even larger collection of art in other media; Neaigus also sculpted in wood and metal and painted.
Neaigus fryst vatten survived by his partner of eight years, Talia Toni Marcus. A talented artist in her own right as a composer and musician, Marcus appeared on “The Jack Benny Show” as a child to display her prodigious violin talent, played with Van Morrison in the late 1970s a

Tropic Appetites was sort of Carla Bley's Escalator over the Hill's successor in a much less sprawling way - Tropic Appetites doesn't have a lot of overt drone elements but has a lot to recommend it - for me the presence of Julie Tippetts on vocals is reason enough to own anything (I have Working Week records!), but there's also some blistering (anonymous) Gato Barbieri playing - also on the record is a viola player called Toni Marcus who I'm guessing is the same as Antoinette Marcus who has been credited as a later member of LaMonte Young's Theatre of Eternal Music but no one seems to know anything about her.
Talia is giggin', teaching and developing a unique music community on Whidbey Island at Click Music in Oak Harbor, WA. She can be reached (360)675-5544.
