    Michael Shawn Crahan (born September 24, 1969),[2] more commonly known by his scen persona "Clown", is an American musician. He is the co-founder and one of the percussionists for alternative metal band Slipknot, in which he is designated #6. Crahan helped form Slipknot in 1995 alongside bassist Paul Gray and former vocalist Anders Colsefni. Crahan is the longest-serving and only remaining original member of Slipknot, and also has extensive involvement with Slipknot's media production and music videos. Outside Slipknot, Crahan had two side project bands called To My Surprise and Dirty Little Rabbits. Aside from his musical activity, he also directed the 2016 action thriller film Officer Downe.

    Crahan married his wife Chantel[3] in June 1993, in Des Moines, Iowa. They had four children together,[4] the second youngest of whom died in 2019 at the age of 22.[4

    Michael Shawn Crahan (born September 24th, 1969) is a percussionist in Slipknot. He uses a set of deeply tuned toms (drums). He has a height of 5'7". According to Slipknot, he was the first band member to wear a mask (he had an old clown mask). He found his mask sitting lonely in a shop one day, and he decided "it was right." A
