    Rigby won an Emmy Award for the TV version of the show (using elements of a 1999 revival). That creative team (including director Glenn Casale and choreographer Patti Colombo) reunites for the new two-year national tour. The production launches at Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA, in September.

    As previously reported by Playbill.com, Tom Hewitt (The Rocky Horror Show, Dracula) will play Mr. Darling/Capt. Hook. Kim Crosby (Cinderella of Into the Woods) will play Mrs. Darling.

    Rigby's return to the role (she has played the part over 3,000 times) will be documented in a two-hour PBS special airing in August. She was a Best Actress Tony Award nominee for playing the part in 1990-91. A 1999 Broadway return of the show earned a Tony nomination as Best R

    The sneering pirates, starchy parents, percussive Indians, lost boys and three British siblings of Peter Pan began singing and dancing Aug. 24 with the launch of the new national tour of Peter Pan starring 58-year-old Rigby as the boy who wouldn't grow up. The Hershey Theater in Hershey, PA, was the first stop on the tour, which continues into 2012.

    In addition to limber actress and former Olympic gymnast Rigby, who recreates her Tony Award-nominated turn as author J.M. Barrie's famed boy, the cast features Broadway stars Hewitt (The Rocky Horror Show) as Capt. Hook/Mr. Darling and Kim Crosby (Into the Woods) as Mrs. Darling. Jenna Wright is Tiger Lily.

    BRANSON, MO (KAIT) - The boy who never grew up makes his debut in Branson with the girl who never grew up. At 57 years old, former Olympic Gymnast, Cathy Rigby, is reprising her role as Peter Pan, at The Mansion theater.

    "I think it generational," said Rigby. "Parents remember the magic they felt when they saw it for the first time. then they bring they're kids to it. If they're a kid, they believe or at least want to believe."

    And those new generations are what keep Rigby on the stage, first performing as Pan back in 1974.  Since that first performance, she's danced, sang, and flown for audiences around the world, more than 3000 times.

    "I fly through that window and become Peter. its all about being spontaneous, child like and mischievious," said Rigby. "It beats any 9 to 5 job, it's really kind of fun. You know for 8 shows a week, I get to be a kid again, that's not hard to keep fresh."
