    Anthony Forwood played the part of Will Scarlet in Disney&#;s Story of Robin Hood and his Merrie Men. &#;Tony&#; was born in the seaside town of Weymouth in Dorset on 3rd October and in he started courting the husky-voiced Welsh actress Glynis Johns, whom he later married. Their only child, Gareth was born in London in (Gareth Forwood was later to appear in films such as Ghandi in ). But it was during the filming of Robin Hood in that their marriage began to break up. Glynis was to appear, the following year, as a young Mary Tudor in the Walt Disney production of The Sword and the Rose.

    Gareth Langton Johns Forwood (14 October – 16 October ) was a British actor.[1] Forwood was the only child of actors Glynis Johns and Anthony Forwood.[2] He made his screen debut in and went on to prosper as a character actor with over 40 credits in film, television and theatre. His career was marked with recurring roles in several large productions, particularly with the British public broadcast network ITV. In his later career, Forwood was typecast in several British television adaptations of classic novels.

    Forwood was born on 14 October in Marylebone, London to British actors Glynis Johns (–) and Anthony Forwood (–), who became stars in the postwar era and divorced in when Forwood was three years old. Forwood's great-great-grandfather, Thomas Friend Brittain Peploe Forwood, was the forefather of the Forwood Baronetcy.[3] On his maternal grandmother's side, he became the fifth

    Glynis Margaret Payne Johns (5 October – 4 January ) was a British actress.[4] In a career spanning eight decades on scen and screen, Johns appeared in more than 60 films and 30 plays. She received various accolades throughout her career, including a Tony Award and a Drama Desk Award, as well as nominations for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award and a Laurence Olivier Award. She was one of the last surviving stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood and classical years of British cinema.[5]

    Johns was born in Pretoria, South Africa, the daughter of Welsh actor Mervyn Johns. She appeared on stage from a ung age and was typecast as a stage dancer from early adolescence, making her screen debut in South Riding (). She rose to prominence in the s following her role as Anna in the war teaterpjäs film 49th Parallel (), for which she won a National Board of Review Award for Best Acting, and s
