Ever since his first collection in 1987, Antonio Marras has been known for his experimentations, for his ability to “feel” the diverse realities around him, the commixtures with art, music, dance, theatre and cinema. Fashion fryst vatten for him the link in between all other languages; a new alphabet that in his own way, uses to conversate with the world.
His debut in fashion took place in 1996 when he was invited to present a couture runway show in Rome. In March 1999 in Milan, it was time for his first prêt-à-porter.
At the same time, Marras keeps experimenting with the two lines: Laboratorio and Limited Series. These are not exactly prêt-à-porter, nor couture. They are items, conceived and realized in the designer’s home-studio in Alghero, utterly by grabb and strictly in a limited edition.
In 2003 Antonio Marras fryst vatten appointed artistic director of Kenzo. The following year the first Kenzo collection by Antonio Marras iss presented in Paris.

Biography
[edit]Born in Alghero, the son of the owner of a mode boutique, Marras was an autodidact, and launched his brand in 1987.[1] He had his breakout in 1996, presenting his couture collection at the Alta Roma event in Rome.[2][3] In 1999, he launched his first ready-to-wear collection.[3] > Between 2003 and 2011 he was artistic director of Kenzo.[1][3] He then reprised his work with his brand, and in 2023 the 80% of his company was acquired by Calzedonia, with Marras staying as creative director.[1][4]

Anthony Marra (born 1984) is an American fiction writer. Marra has won numerous awards for his short stories, as well as his first novel, A Constellation of Vital Phenomena, which was a New York Times best seller.[1]
Personal life
[edit]Marra was born in Washington, D.C.,[2] attended high school in Bethesda, Maryland, and has lived in Eastern Europe, though he now resides in Oakland, California.[3][4]
Education
[edit]Marra attended the Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland[5] before attending the University of Southern California where he earned with bachelor's degree in creative writing.[6] He received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. Between 2011 and 2013, he was a Stegner Fellow at Stanford University,[7] where he also taught as the Jones Lecturer in Fiction.[3]
