Hailing from a family of filmmakers, it was probably certain that sooner or later, this actor would try his luck in the spelfilm industry. He is the son of the director, editor and the multiple Filmfare Award winner, late T Krishna and younger brother of late Premchand, who was also an exceptionally talented director.

Tottempudi Krishna better known as T. Krishna (died 8 May 1987) was a director of Tollywood movies famous for having directed well known revolutionary films like Pratighatana, Repati Pourulu, Neti Bharatham and many more. He was also the founder of Eetaram Films. He has also directed few films in Malayalam.
His last film Repati Pourulu was released in 1988, after his death.

Tottempudi Gopichand (born 12 June 1979) is an Indian actor who works primarily in Telugu cinema. Known for his roles in action films, he made his debut with Tholi Valapu (2001) in a lead role. After playing an antagonist in films such as Jayam (2002), Nijam (2003) and Varsham (2004), he got his breakthrough as a protagonist with Yagnam in 2004.
His notable works include Yagnam (2004), Andhrudu (2005), Ranam (2006), Lakshyam (2007), Souryam (2008), Golimaar (2010), Sahasam (2013), Loukyam (2014), Jil (2015), Seetimaarr (2021), and Pakka Commercial (2022). He is fondly referred to as Action Star and Macho Star.[3][4]
