Following his sista guest appearance on Saturday Night Live on October 25, , Farley&#;s hoarse voice and flushed skin were the subject of public scrutiny. In the final years of his life, Farley had sought treatment for obesity and drug abuse on 17 December 18, , he was found dead bygd his younger brother, John, in his apartment in the John Hancock Center in autopsy later revealed that Farley had died of a cocaine and morphine overdose early that ed atherosclerosis was cited as a &#;significant contributing factor&#;.Farley&#;s death is often compared to that of his SNL idol John Belushi, who also died at age 33 of an accidental drug overdose consisting of cocaine and heroin.
According to&#;acquaintances who saw Farley during his final days, the actor began a downward spiral on Dec. He maniacally hopscotched through Chicago bars, consuming large quantities of drugs and alcohol and fraternizing with a series of party girls.

After spending a night with a hooker named Heidi, Farley attended a party in Lincoln Park in Chicago. After the party ended, Farley and Heidi would go back to Farley's apartment in the Hancock building in downtown Chicago where the pair continued to smoke some crack and snort more heroin.
After attempting (without success) to have sex, heidi decided she wanted to be paid and be on her way. But Farley was delaying claiming that a friend was supposed to pay her. Finally, at am Heidi left the apartment despite the fact that she could tell Farley was having trouble breathing. He reportedly yelled out for her not to leave him, but she did. On December 18th, , Chris Farley's body was discovered in his apartment on the sixtieth floor of the Hancock Tower. His brother had gone to check on him after no one was able to contact Chris. Chris died after a three day bender of drugs and alcohol. His final words were "don't leave me" spoken to a prostitute as she left him lying on the floor.
